Her Excellency Rev. Denise Nkurunziza Presented a Gift of a Computer Lab to Enefa Kibumbu.

On Saturday 2nd February 2013, Her Excellency Reverend Denise Nkurunziza presented a gift of a computer lab to Enefa Kibumbu a secondary school which trains students in Family Economy in Kayokwe commune of Mwaro province (centre of Burundi).

As an answer to your last year’s request, I have come to present to you a computer lab made of twenty three desk tops, four laptops, a photocopying printer, ten mercury power controllers and five extensions” said Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza informing them that the computer lab is a donation which was given to BUNTU Foundation by the international organizations Samaritans’ Feet together with Women Ambassadors of the United States of America.

In her speech, the Spouse of the Head of State wished to those present a happy new year full of success and also congratulated students and the leaders of the school for their highly appreciated performance during national examinations. “I encourage you. Keep it up! Dear students, I beseech before God the Almighty, remain disciplined and never leave an open door to any kind of misbehaviour,” mentioned the First Lady of Burundi inviting them to maintain and use to the optimum the computer room opened to them. 

Mrs. Nkurunziza also thanked the leaders of Enefa Kibumbu for the gift of cow Yarukundo, a Kirundi name which means of the love, granted to her. “It is a rope of love that you have tied my up with to you,” affirmed the First Lady.

As to Mr. Albert Nintunze the Headmaster of the school, the latter was founded by Nuns and is now training about 496 students in Management and Accounting, and Family Economy. “Your Excellency the First Lady, we were in a felt need of the computer lab you have given us today. We thank you so much, it will also serve the neighboring schools.,” added the Headmaster of Enefa Kibumbu backed up by Mr. Polidor Ndayirorere the Governor of Mwaro province and Father Jean Marie Kazitonda, in charge of education among 36 secondary and 136 primary schools jointly managed by both the Government and the Church in the diocese of Gitega.
