BURUNDI RE-BRANDED AT CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL

Dr. Rachael Schweiger, a Top Advisor for Dr. Clyde Rivers, Honorary Ambassador at large for the Republic of Burundi, was asked to speak at Horizon Christian High School in Tualatin Oregon, USA. Dr. Schweiger spoke at a Career Day event and was able to share with the students the good things that are taking place in the Republic of Burundi.  She had the opportunity, as well, to talk with the students about the work she does with Dr. Rivers for Burundi.

Dr. Rivers said, “It is a great day when we can bring the good news of Burundi to the younger generation because it broadens their thinking. They will never forget the country of Burundi as they learn about the good things that are taking place in that country.” Rivers goes on to say, “Dr. Schweiger is a good person for the job because she is very truthful and motivational. This is the image we need, to promote strong trade for Burundi. We are thankful to Horizon Christian High School for the opportunity and privilege to speak to the student body on behalf of the Republic of Burundi.”

President of the Republic of Burundi Receives Top Honor With East African Community


President Pierre NKURUNZIZA of Burundi.

The Republic of Burundi President, Pierre NKURUNZIZA, has been appointed by the Heads of State of the East African Community to the position of Chairman for EAC. He will carry out the duties of this top position of leadership for the EAC for this term. The conceding chairman, the current President of Tanzania, Jakaya KITWETE, has officially handed the leadership over to President Pierre NKURUNZIZA of Burundi.

Honorary Ambassador at Large for Burundi, Dr. Clyde Rivers says, “This is a big day for Burundi. This appointment reveals to the world the stability and the good leadership of the country, as recognized by the EAC. This shows the world that it is time to invest and do business in Burundi, as its infrastructure is now able to handle global business and investments.” This is the New Africa.

BOSTON CELTICS CHAMPIONS IN ANOTHER WAY

Dr. Clyde Rivers, Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, was in Boston last weekend to pickup T-shirts and sporting gear from the Boston Celtics to aid the orphans in Burundi.

Dr. Rivers said, “We are very grateful that a high ranking organization such as the Boston Celtics have their heart in the right place.” The Boston Celtics currently have the top record in the NBA. Rivers goes on to say, “Among the youth of Burundi they are in first place as well. Any professional sports organization that looks beyond their community to help the world is truly a championship organization. The 1st Lady of Burundi’s Buntu Foundation is very thankful for the goodness of the Boston Celtics in looking beyond their borders to help the children of Burundi. We wish to extend a heart-felt, thank you.”

During Dr. Rivers’ visit to Boston, he was will taken care of by people in the Celtics Organization. They did an outstanding job to make his visit a success. Rivers said, “I was very impressed by Matt Meyersohn, Director of Community Relations. He represented the Boston Celtics in an excellent way. As an Ambassador that travels the world it is great when you deal with a professional such as Mr. Meyersohn.” Dr. Rivers also observed the hard work of Ashley Earle as she prepared the way for his visit. He said, “She treated the country of Burundi with respect, from the moment we contacted her regarding this visit, and I want to thank her.”

Dr. Paul Taylor, Top Advisor for the East Coast of America, to the Honorary Ambassador, Dr. Rivers, was very instrumental in putting this project together for the Republic of Burundi. “He worked hard making the connection with the Boston Celtics Organization. He is one of the best men I know. He has a true heart for Burundi and is putting his words into actions.” Said Rivers.

Burundi Has Victory At Mount Scott

A victory for the Republic of Burundi was achieved as the Honorary Ambassador at Large, Clyde Rivers, together with his Top Advisor of Diplomatic Relations, Dr. Rachael Schweiger, visited Mount Scott Elementary School in Happy Valley, Oregon, USA on Thursday, February 17, 2011. The Ambassador visited the school to recognize the Mount Scott-Burundi Education Project that has the students at Mount Scott raising funds to buy school supplies for a partner school in Burundi.  Ambassador Rivers commented, “It’s a great day for Burundi when we can watch two worlds connect!”  The amazing students at Mount Scott showed their excellent character when they adopted a program to help a country that was not their own. Top Advisor, Dr. Schweiger said, “The encouragement from the principal and staff was evident in the students and in the outstanding program they created.” This young generation of students got a positive perspective on the great country of Burundi as they reached out to assist youth across the world.

BURUNDI AND GUATEMALA UNITE

Dr. Clyde Rivers, Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, had a meeting with a top Deputy congressman from Republic of Guatemala, Jaime Martinez Lohayza. They met to establish a connection between the two countries to begin to work together to produce business and establish a healthy relationship between Burundi and Guatemala.

Dr Rivers said, “Jaime Martinez Lohayza, is a very good man. He has a true heart for the betterment of his country as well as looking to partner with other nations to establish good global relationships.” Rivers goes on to say, ”The Republic of Burundi would be honored to work with Guatemala. It is time to connect Burundi with the world so the world can see the greatness in Burundi. I am looking forward to my trip to Guatemala to further establish this connection.”
