Dr. Clyde Rivers, working to help build a hospital in Burundi
The President of Republic of Burundi, H.E. Pierre Nkurunziza, has created a life -changing program for his country. The program is called Community Works. Every Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 eight million Burundians are working together to develop their country in a positive way.
Dr. Clyde Rivers,Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, said today, “ I was just in Burundi helping with a Community Works project where an entire village was building a hospital for the sick of their community. It is amazing to watch the unity created when people are engaged in building their own community. The power of the Community Works Programs is in the unity as the people of Burundi work to build a better community to live in. This will go farther than nearly anything else you can do. What we build together we will love forever – Community Works, works! This is the new model to that will help develop the continent of Africa.”
